If you are unable to keep an appointment, we require at least 24 hours notice. If appointments are cancelled or not attended without sufficient notice, 100% of the full consultation fee will be charged. An SMS reminder is sent two days prior to appointments in order to assist with preventing cancellations within 24 hours. When an SMS reminder is sent, please respond to confirm your appointment.
Payment will be taken at the end of the appointment. Accepted methods of payment include: Bankcard, Visa, MasterCard or cash. If you are eligible, a rebate of $86.15 may be provided through Medicare.
Medicare and Private Health
Eligibility for Medicare is determined by your GP or psychiatrist. In order to claim a rebate under Medicare, you need to make an appointment with your GP or psychiatrist who will conduct an assessment. Typically, you will need to book a longer consultation with your GP or psychiatrist to allow for time to complete the assessment. If you meet the relevant criteria, your GP or psychiatrist will complete a Mental Health Care Plan that can provide access to up to 10 rebates within one calendar year. If you are claiming a rebate through the Medicare Mental Health Care Plan, your psychologist is required to provide a report summarising treatment to your GP or psychiatrist after six sessions, and again upon completion the 10th session per calendar year. With private health insurance, you may be eligible for a partial rebate of the consultation fee. You may only claim through either Medicare or Private Health per consultation, not through both.
